A great spot on the Epic is the adults-only Spice H2O at the rear of the ship. With a small pool and stadium seating, it’s a nice place to get away from everyone and relax. At night the bar changes to more of a venue for music and sometimes movies on a big screen. Just like Bliss, the staff sometimes doesn’t enforce the age restriction, a disappointment.
You might think that because this ship has such a party vibe for the adults, that there’s little left for the kids, but that’s hardly the case. Children traveling with their families enjoy access to not only kids clubs for varying age groups, but also a range of on-board activities. If you’d prefer not to get your hair wet, you can enjoy the rock climbing and repelling walls, or the miniature golf course. A sports complex also offers a basketball court, climbing cage and trampoline. A Norwegian Epic cruise gives travelers more than a dozen different dining options, both complimentary and for a fee, with a range of European, American and Asian cuisines to choose from. The cruise line is also pretty great about adjusting for dietary needs, if that’s a concern.
For this reason, I highly recommend making reservations even for the complimentary restaurants onboard. While room service is included, it does incur a service charge for delivery which amounts to $9.95 USD.
